Special Session: Enhanced Resilience of the Built Environment and Infrastructure

Wednesday, 12th February, 14.00-16.00. Hall 4, Room D.
It will provide a platform for fostering global partnerships and innovative financial platforms on urban resilience. Examples of resilience strategies and innovative urban resilience tools such as UN-Habitat’s City Resilience Profiling Tool and CityRap, with cities of Dakar (Senegal), Teresina (Brazil) and stakeholders.

Presentation of Urban Resilience Film

Sunday, 9th February, from 18.00, Urban Cinema.
Short documentary exploring resilience building in three different cities across the globe: Maputo, Asunción and Barcelona. Interviews and images demonstrate the impact of risk on local urban populations and showcase the initiatives taken by pro-active local governments to protect life, infrastructure and functionality. Produced by OAK Stories in collaboration with UN-Habitat.
