Prior to joining UN-Habitat in 2017, Walker worked as a land use economist focusing on the intersection of public policy, land use, and economics. His role with the CRPP involves providing support to the city of Port Vila, Vanuatu, in implementing the CRPT and working with the technical team in areas related to economics, transportation, logistics, and social services. He holds a BA from Cornell University and MSc from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, where he is also currently pursuing a Ph.D. analysing the way in which land use policy and design can promote urban resilience
