Maria started her professional life as an humanitarian architect more than 20 years ago. She has worked in several places within the world, as Sahara, Kosovo or Angola among others, always linked to humanitarian aid and international cooperation. Additional skills include capacity building, monitoring and evaluation. She has a Master in Planning and Management of Informal Settlements. She has been living and developing projects in Mozambique for the last 18 years. Her areas of expertise include climate adaptation and mitigation, DRR, resilience and urbanization, among others.
