Organised by the international NGO IED Afrique (Innovation-Environnement-Développement Afrique/Innovation-Environment-Development Africa) – the conference aimed to create a multi-actor platform to share knowledge, practices, real cases and political consequences of the links between climate change and resilient economic development with a regional perspective.

The considerable presence of regional actors working on resilience and community-building provided an excellent opportunity for the City Resilience Profiling Programme’s focal point to make valuable links with, among others, the African Development Bank, the OECD, the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the Global Green Growth Institute, whose representatives were keen to identify collaboration opportunities with UN-Habitat’s resilience work in Senegal.
